Caitlin M. Loyka, PsyD

Dr. Loyka is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in psycho-oncology. She completed her psychology pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship at Cooper University Health Care, where she joined the faculty in 2025. As an attending psychologist at Cooper, Dr. Loyka meets with oncology patients in her consultation liaison role and in an integrated ambulatory oncology clinic at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper, providing psychological intervention for serious illness-related adjustment and related psychological concerns. Dr. Loyka provides supervision to Behavioral Medicine externs, psychology pre-doctoral interns, and psychology post-doctoral fellows and is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Cooper Medical School at Rowan University, providing education to medical students on psychological assessment and intervention.

Dr. Loyka is involved in providing psychoeducational programming to metastatic cancer patients as part of MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper’s Survivorship Program. Her research interests include health care provider well-being, and she is a member of the GME Wellness Committee where she executes projects aimed at developing and improving programs addressing psychological concerns of Cooper providers (e.g., imposter syndrome in Internal Medicine residents). She is a member of the American Psychological Association, Society of Behavioral Medicine, and Association of Psychologists in Academic Health Centers.
