About Catherine L. Kennedy

Dr. Catherine L. Kennedy is a fellowship-trained otolaryngologist specializing in otology and neurotology, with a particular focus on hearing preservation and restoration. She provides expert care in the diagnosis and surgical management of complex ear and skull base disorders, including hearing loss, chronic ear disease, vestibular (balance) disorders, tinnitus, facial nerve conditions, and acoustic neuromas/vestibular schwannomas.
Dr. Kennedy earned her medical degree and completed her residency training in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Maryland. She then pursued advanced fellowship training in Otology/Neurotology at the University of Minnesota, where she gained specialized expertise in minimally invasive ear surgery and the latest techniques in skull base surgery.
Her clinical practice focuses on a wide range of conditions, including hearing loss, chronic ear disease, tinnitus, vestibular (balance) disorders, facial nerve disorders, and skull base tumors such as acoustic neuromas/vestibular schwannomas. She offers advanced treatment options, including cochlear implantation and other implantable hearing devices. Dr. Kennedy works closely with audiologists, neurologists, and neurosurgeons to provide collaborative, multidisciplinary care for both adult and pediatric patients.
Dr. Kennedy’s primary research interests include investigating barriers to access in hearing healthcare and exploring opportunities for repurposing existing medications for the prevention of hearing loss. Dr. Kenny was extremely gracious and open. I could ask her questions. She looked genuinely interested and she took great effort to make sure that I got everything done, including actually having me escorted to a place where I needed to have my hearing tested. Thank you very much. Bye.

Dr. Kennedy was very, she provided all the information that was needed. She explained my condition and even reading her notes, she spelled out everything where so that I could understand exactly as to what she was saying pertaining to my treatment. And I look forward to meeting with her again to even going to further about my treatment.

My first visit with Dr. Kennedy was very positive. She listened, explained what my problem was, and quickly prescribed a course of action. Because one of the meds she prescribed was out of stock at my pharmacy, I had to contact her the next day for an alternative. The Cooper navigator connected me with her office and directed my message to her. She responded within two hours and I really appreciated her prompt response. I would not hesitate to schedule an appointment with her going forward.

First of all, the directions to get to the office were terrible! It's a good thing that I allowed extra time to get there. It's not your fault, but the directions brought me to the back of the building. Once I came into the office everything went smoothly. The staff was friendly and Dr. Kennedy was very attentive and explained things to me effectively! I would highly recommend Dr. Kennedy as an ENT!
