I give her the same list of issues as the specialists and I know there's no answer but she'll say "how can I help you feel better " Rather than, go see your other Dr. That's what I need. To be heard. To be treated as a whole person. Specialist are great but forget at times that you are an entire person. Not just a disease within their realm. Dr. Sussman gets me. I called the office for an appointment because my father had passed away 4 days earlier and his funeral was the next day (today). I was really, really struggling with everything and I needed help. EVERYONE in the office really worked to help get me in to see the doctor. They called me back twice just to make sure I was ok. The appointment was invaluable and helped immensely. I am so grateful that I was able to get medicine to help me get through this week and get back to being myself (and avoiding a bleeding ulcer!)
