My experience was great and happy I choose Cooper.

It took about 3 months to get the first appointment I had with Dr Rivera, but since then, scheduling has been easy. I like Dr Rivera and her support staff. It took me some time to understand how to interpret my blood sugar and what to do to help keep it within the ranges that Dr Rivera would like. Type II diabetes is not that difficult to understand, but the treatment can be complicated. For me, it was difficult to get the treatment to work with my lifestyle. For example, I have never, in my adult life, eaten 3 meals a day. In fact, I mostly eat only one meal, in the evening. At age 64, it's unlikely that I will change my eating habits, and if any treatment requires an annoying amount of change to my lifestyle, I won't follow through with the plan. I know this about myself, and Dr Rivera adjusted her expectations. For example, I had a very difficult time testing my blood sugar. I could not get a good blood draw on any finger at any setting. I was very exasperated and frankly I didn't know what to do with the results anyway. Dr Rivera prescribed a Dexcom 7, which was a life changer for me. Still, it took a bit of communication with education staff and on my most recent appointment with Dr Rivera, I had an "aha!" moment and finally felt that I understood what I was supposed to be doing with the information that I was receiving from the Dexcom. One issue that I still have and which is "managed" by my primary care doctor, is the sometimes unbearable neuropathy I have in my hands and feet. It continues to worsen and I often have a difficult time controlling the pain. I take gabapentin 600/ 3 x a day and it helps to a certain extent. I have no shoes that are truly comfortable and I always buy good quality shoes. I don't know if the endocrinologist typically deals with the neuropathy or if I should see a different doctor for this. I am very happy with Dr Rivera and have generally felt better since getting off Ozempic after having a long period of feeling unwell. I want to note that it was my psychiatrist, Dr Partridge, who connected me with Dr Rivera, because she believed that my uncontrolled diabetes was the reason for my feeling unwell. (Frankly Dr Partridge is the caregiver who, on my team of Cooper caregivers, has had the most comprehensive approach to a whole-body wellness, and I wish my other doctors were as thorough without being dogmatic and tiresome) I really have no complaints about Dr Rivera and I am very pleased that she is my endocrinologist.

Dr Rivera is very thorough listens to your concerns and responds to my needs in a timely manner when messaged on my chart. The office staff were very professional and proactive by calling me when an earlier appointment was available. happy with my Doctor and the facility.

I appreciate, that even though my case is probably routine and nothing to worry about, the doctor didn't dismiss any part of what I said and still seemed to be thorough. She was kind and caring and willing to spend time if I had questions. I switched from another provider from another hospital association because I was not treated well so I really appreciated how thorough and kind Dr. Rivera was.

This was my first appointment with Dr. Rivera. She was very pleasant and we had a very good back and forth about my health issues. She explained changes in my medication dosages so I could understand the reason for those changes. I am happy with my experience with Dr. Rivera.

Due to the weather this was a telehealth appointment. Very pleased with the staffs instruction to help me prepare for the call. I was a little unsure of if I was correctly set up to receive the call. Everything went very smoothly. Enjoyed speaking with the doctor.

Krista Rivera, she always care about my health. So when she was on internal leave, I did not want to see any other doctor but her. And as far as the staff there, I've been there for over 10 years and they are terrific. The new ones comes in, treats me the same as the ones that is not there now. But that's a wonderful place to be. I loved it up there. And I say that because that's how they treat you with love and they understand whatever you ask them, they have an answer for you. If not, they refer you to the person who do. So I love there. And I live all the way here in Bristol.

From the PSR to the MA, everyone was wonderful. The Doctor was very knowledgeable and thorough! My first time seeing this specialist. I would definitely recommend her!

Yes, I just wanted to let you know that Dr. Crystal is amazing. She's the best. She is always professional, personable. She cares. She takes the time to talk to me and not try to run out of the exam room. And that's along with all of her staff and all of the staff at the front desk. Everyone was wonderful. I accidentally on the first, I think the first, questions put to, but all of my questions should be for and can. Thank you for being such a great physician that cares. We found very little of that today.
