Lucía Díaz Diaz Garcia, MD

This is not in relation to my experience with Dr. Diaz Garcia. When looking to schedule an appointment with an ENT, specifically a laryngologist, the scheduling team sent me to a hearing specialist instead. This meant I was charged $500 for what my insurance deemed as an "elective" hearing test with audiology, which is a prerequisite to see a hearing specialist in the ENT department. Dr. Kennedy was a wonderful person to speak with, and she kindly canceled my appointment and sent me to Dr. Diaz Garcia instead. According to Dr. Kennedy, this sort of scheduling mishap happens all the time. I was very fortunate to be able to see the specialist I needed in a reasonable time frame considering the confusion, but I worry for people who are being sent to the wrong professional and then paying out of pocket for procedures and tests that insurance is not wrongfully denying coverage for. I didn't need the hearing test to see a laryngologist, but I was told I needed to see Audiology before ENT by scheduling. Nobody corrected that in any point of the process until the end of my laryngologist appt, which was a bit frustrating. I don't know the best way to ensure this doesn't happen to others moving forward, but it could be beneficial to remind the schedulers to listen more carefully to the needs of someone seeking an ENT appointment. Other than that, my experience with Dr. Diaz Garcia was wonderful. I felt validated, heard, cared for, and I am confident I am in very professional and capable hands! This particular appointment made me a bit nervous as a professional vocalist who was experiencing some discomfort, but my nerves were soothed almost immediately by her extensive knowledge, excellent bedside manner, and professional demeanor. Dr. Garcia is such a wonderful, caring, experienced doctor. It took me quite a while to bring up my issue and I'm lucky I found her. The only thing I would recommend is a better answer to our questions on MyChart. If you leave a message, sometimes the provider does not get it.

Very hard to get an appointment with Dr Diaz. She came highly recommended by multiple of my providers so it was worth the wait. She was wonderful. She is very knowledgeable and can see she is very passionate about caring for her patients. She is what you like to have in a provider. She just needs to clone herself ?. I look forward to working with her as my provider. The office staff are all very pleasant also. Everyone so good at making you feel welcome.

Dr. Garcia listened well and explained well. It was several months wait for appt. but this seems to be the norm for specialists

Dr Diaz and her staff is awesome. I had a little bit of an issue and she stayed with me the whole time and helped me breathe and get through it and made me feel so comfortable on her medical tech and everybody is awesome. Everyone in the office is so friendly and things run so smoothly, which I'm sure can be difficult when it's so busy. The staff makes sure everyone feels welcome and comfortable while waiting. I can't say enough about Dr. Garcia and her team - they're just incredible! The checkout process is always pleasant and efficient. The signage for this location can be tricky because the buildings across the street have more visibility. But everyone working inside makes it a great experience!

Dr.Garcia is very knowledgeable, and explained the care I need with this problem of diverticulum. She is waiting for test results from Virtua to make the decision of what surgery I will need, ad is to call me asap.

The doctor was very, very nice to me. I had just lost my husband. She helped me a lot with my problem and she certainly took very good care of me and so did all the people that came in the room. Since I had just lost my husband two weeks ago, they were always very kind and comforting and understanding. Hi, yeah, my experience was pretty good once I got in with the doctor and I really liked her, but that was my first time there. So we'll have to see how things go down the road. I thought she was very attentive, very professional. She was a great person. I felt at ease with her. I thought everybody was great there, but nobody notified me that I'd be sitting there for how long, well, it doesn't matter. It was a great experience and I will be back to see her. I just, I thought she was really great. I thought the whole office was great. And I don't know what else to say. I was very happy with the overall whole experience with everyone. But like I said, that was my first appointment with her. I didn't know how to answer all the questions, how you guys asked it.
