About Luke Stanisce
Professional Statement
I am an Otolaryngologist and Head and Neck Surgeon at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper. After graduating with honors from the University of Connecticut, I attended medical school at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University. I then served as the inaugural resident in a newly accredited Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery Residency Program at Cooper University Health Care in Camden, NJ. As the first-ever resident, I was afforded a unique experience immersed in hands-on clinical training, practice management, institutional leadership, and medical education. Training in a city where 40% of the population lived in poverty, I have particular academic interests in the social determinants of health and the delivery of care for underserved patients.
After completing residency, I underwent an additional year of fellowship training at Mount Sinai Beth Israel – Icahn School of Medicine in New York City, focusing on advanced treatments for head and neck cancers and reconstructive surgeries. I specialize in treating benign and malignant disorders of the head and neck, reconstructive surgery in this region, and comprehensive otolaryngology including sinonasal diseases.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, golfing, and all things Philadelphia sports.

Dr. Stanisce was amazing with my mother as well as Nurse Anna and the other staff. They made us feel very comfortable and explained everything in a way that wasn't shocking to my mother and very caring and supportive.

Dr Luke explained what I would be going through very thoroughly. He spent a good hour with me and my wife. He did a scope and multiple biopsies. I almost fainted at one point and he showed me so much compassion. We took in a lot of information during the visit but didn't feel too overwhelmed. We're confident we're on the right path to get healthy again.

I saw Dr Luke Stanisce for the first time. He spent a lot of time w me. explaining everything thoroughly. He was kind. courteous. compassionate. and extremely bright!! I had quite a few questions and he answered every one of them. He went over the scans w me and showed me everything I needed to see.
